The location
Elk Trail Lodge is a luxurious log cabin-style home located on the beautiful Chippewa flowage in Sawyer County Wisconsin. 15 miles east of Hayward, Wisconsin.
The flowage is 15,300 acres in size. It's Wisconsin's largest wilderness lake, with a maximum depth of 92 feet. Dotted with about 200 undeveloped islands, Wisconsin's third-largest lake boasts a highly irregular, wooded, and generally undeveloped 233-mile shoreline. Historically, the Chippewa Flowage has been considered a premier muskellunge lake and has earned a reputation for being the water that produced the world record musky. ​The property
This beautiful home is located on a 3-acre lot at the mouth of Moore's Bay, where the west Fork of the Chippewa River meets the flowage. The property offers two piers, one in front of the boat house on the inlet to the river and one on the flowage next to a private sand beach area. After a wonderful day touring the flowage, enjoy a relaxing evening around the fire pit.
The Cabin
This breathtaking cabin can sleep 18. It includes a beautiful master wing with doors to the patio and a great view of the water. The guest wing has four private bedrooms, each with a full bathroom. upstairs
the loft has eight single beds and a bathroom just beyond the media room.
The main-level living area has an open floor plan. The large, fully functional kitchen with breakfast bar seating and kitchen table leads into a large, open dining table with seating for 10. The open and spacious living room includes a brick fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows, giving guests an amazing view of the water along with a few of the many islands you will see throughout your lake adventures.
​The lower level is filled with entertainment for everyone. Play a game of pool, pinball, foosball, Ping pong, darts, cornhole, or relax and watch a movie.
